Web Site Visitors

To help us to diagnose problems with our web server and to administer our web site we log detailed information regarding each access. Some of the information we log is as follows:

IP address of the source of the query
Document or web page that was accessed
Type of browser that was used
Location (previous web site) from which query was referred

This information is kept for at least one week, after which it is destroyed at our earliest convenience. This information is not backed up as part of our ordinary operational backup procedures, i.e., there is no storage of this information after one week.

Except as needed to diagnosis problems and administer our web site, this information is not shared with anyone.

Email System

To help us diagnose problems with our email system and to ensure it operates at peak efficiency we log detailed information regarding the flow of messages through our system. Some of the information we log is as follows:

Detailed information for incoming SMTP transactions, including IP addresses, domain names, and certain other information from specific protocol elements. This information is needed to continue our efforts to combat spam.
Envelope from and to addresses for all messages for each stop they make internal to the email system. This information is needed to enforce the submission policies set by our customers.

Actual message content is not logged by the email system although customers may elect to keep an archive, in which case the email system will facilitate that request.

This information is kept for at least two weeks, after which it is destroyed at our earliest convenience. This information is not backed up as part of our ordinary operational backup procedures, i.e., there is no storage of this information after two weeks.

Except as needed to diagnosis problems and operate our email system, this information is not shared with anyone.

Customers

When you register to become one of our custmers we require you to give us contact information (e.g., name and email address) and financial information (e.g., for example account or credit card numbers). The contact information is used to contact you if we are having problems and we believe you need to be informed directly. The financial information is used for billing purposes only.

Contact information is stored on the server and each customer has the ability to immediately update this information on-line. The official version of this information is stored off-line and is updated within one business day of the the on-line version.

Financial information is stored off-line only. Customers may submit changes to this information that require one business day to take effect.

We keep logs for an indefinite period regarding some of the events related to the operation of a customer's elists. The information we keep is as follows.

When a subscriber is added (removed) to (from) an elist the time, date, subscribed address, and origin of the request (if different than the subscribed address) are recorded.
When a message is distributed to an elist the time, date, and Message-ID header of the message are recorded.
When a message fails to be delivered to a subscriber the time, date, and subscribed address is logged as part of the failed mail processing we provide.
The number of subscribers on an elist is recorded on the last day of each month. This information is needed for billing purposes.
The size of an elist's archive is recorded on the last day of each month. This information is needed for billing purposes.
Messages which are regarded as spam are logged in their entirety.

If a customer elects to have an elist's messages archived then we will have stored a copy of all messages distributed to an elist. We make every reasonable effort to protect this archive from disclosure according to the criteria set by the customer.

Customers are ordinarily listed on our list of customers, unless they request otherwise.

Security

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. Information is only accessible to those persons who have a need to know. Detailed financial information is stored off-line and only used when invoices are created and distributed.

This site has processes that monitor its usage watching for abuse, e.g., attempts to use us as an email relay to distribute spam. When we determine that a particular use is in any way abusive or offensive we reserve the right to use any and all information we have regarding that use in any way we see fit, including but not limited to sharing it with anyone we believe is assisting us in eliminating the problem.

Choice/Opt-In

This site does not communicate with its visitors.

Customers only receive communications when there is a problem or issue with their service that we believe they need to know.

Information Accuracy

Customers have control of all the information we collect and can change it at any time by visiting their customer home page.
